Joel and I didn't want to wait any longer, so we went to Fetal Fotos to find out the sex of the baby. It's a girl. I just started crying, I said that it didn't matter what the sex was, but I am just so excited to have a daughter. It's time to shop!!!

Little Snake

Joel and Jordan were out working in the yard, Joel was digging holes for some new trees and the come across some worms. Jordan was SO excited and came running up to me saying, "Look Mommy, little snake" he was so proud and amazed by his new little friend. He is such a boy.

Hair Gel

I walked into the bathroom today and Jordan was standing there with his whole jar of hair gel that he covered his hair in. As soon as I saw him he said “Mommy, I so cute.” How do you get mad at a cute face like that?

UltraSound

Well It is confirmed, I am officially pregnant. I FINALLY got confirmation today that there is a baby in there an not just something that makes me throw up a lot. I know it sounds totally stupid, and I knew I am pregnant. But something inside of me really couldn’t except it. I felt like it was maybe a tumor, or all in my head or something. I know it sounds lame, but until I could see it for myself its hard to take the Doctors word on it. Anyways, I had my first appointment with my doctor today, and when she came in and said, “ can you believe you are pregnant?” I said no, and she better show me something today. The stepped out of the room so I could put the gown on for the ultrasound and I looked and Joel and got tears in my eyes because I was so scared that nothing was going to be there. But the second she put the wand on my belly my little babies face popped right up, like he/she was sitting there waiting for the camera. Its was unmistakable. We got to see it's little face so close up, and I think he was smiling at us. Then she started moving like crazy, just swimming around like it was in the pool. We saw every little angle, and the baby even kept opening and clenching his little fist. I was so hoping to see something, but it was way more than I hoped for. I never realized that the baby would be so active and alive already. It wouldn’t hold still for a minute, just like Jordan. Joel and I were both crying, it was unbelievable. Actually, scratch that, I finally for the first time really in my heart and head, believe that I am actually going to have a baby. And we totally fell in love with him/or her. And yes I will be finding out as soon as possible what the actually sex it. I am no good with surprises. This has been a great day. Also I am 12 weeks today, which means I have less than 3% chance that I will miscarry and that I am finally in the safe zone. WOW, what a day. Maybe I can relax a little now.

Brittany Spears Concert

Tonight I went with my friend Brittany to the Brittany Spears concert. Say what you will about Brittany Spears, but the girl can dance and she knows how to put on a show. Anyone who can make me get up and dance I usually like. I have never been one to go to a concert to listen to their voice, I can do that on the radio, I only like to go to a concert if there is going to be a great performance with it, and it really was. Her and her dancers were amazing. I was so tired by the end of the night from dancing but it was a great break from sitting home throwing up all the time. I was actually surprised by the people who was there also, everyone was a group of moms out with their friends, I thought for sure it would be a bunch of teenagers but instead it was all their Moms. Only in Utah.

Easter

Today was great. They had an Easter party at Draper Park, and Joel and I took Jordan. Jordan got so excited when he that he got to gather Easter eggs, he ran all the way there with Joel at his side. They made you circle the area of the hunt then they blew this big fog horn whistle and all the kids took off running. Jordan was freaking out with excitement. Of course he wanted to open each egg before he gathered the next one, but he still ended up with enough. He was just so cute running around with his basket. They also had a bounce house there, and clowns, and jugglers and face painting. We had a great time and it was all free, which was the best part. I’m glad we went, we will have to go every year. We then took him over to Thanksgiving point since I just got the season pass, and went to the Dinosaur Museum. He loved it, we let him play in the kids area with the water and sand and Joel and him made lakes and rivers and made the flash floods knock over all the plastic dinosaur. Its was so cute. Then we just went and grabbed lunch and all came home and took naps. I have never napped so much in my life, but it felt great.

On Easter Sunday, Joel hid candy around the house for Jordan this morning, and got him a Tomas the Train Easter basket. Jordan was so excited to gather candy and just kept saying “I mun d Ester Bonny” ( I love the Easter Bunny) he was a lot of fun. But note to self for next year, he needs to wake up and have a healthy breakfast before the candy starts cause he was so wired and silly. We were cracking up at him cause he was because he was being so silly. Then he crashed and got tired and grumpy, man, no one can say the sugar doesn’t affect us. But it was a great morning

I'm Pregnant

Yes you heard right. We just found out that I am pregnant, after soooo many years and so much money on failed fertility attempts. I got pregnant without the help of any Doctors and completely natural. I have never been so shocked in my life. We are expecting in November. YEA!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the video when we told my parents the good news. They came to Salt Lake the day after we found out, and met at dinner at the roof on temple square. They were so excited, after they figured out what was going on, of course their first reaction was that we were adopting again but when the found out I was pregnant they hit the roof.

I gave up trying to shoot Jordan in the studio, So I decided just to follow him around the park down the street, and my backyard. I was able to really photograph his true personality that way, and I can remember all the cute natural looks he gets. Notice the end of the shoot, he was sick of me following him around so he tried to hide in the dyer, and said "all done" He better start getting use to it.

1st Bike

No!! He cant be old enough to ride a bike yet. Actually he cant ride it yet because he little legs cant reach the pedals, so he just walks around on it. Joel bought him his first Bike at REI and it is so little, maybe in a few years he will be able to sit on it.

Manleys

Lisa family came up for the week this week, and we had so much fun. Joel got off work early a few days so he took Jordan and I went with them to Seven Peaks Water park, and to Lagoon the next day. It was great to be able to ride the rides with older kids that don't have to sit on your lap. I haven't be able to spend as much time with Lisa's kids as I would like, and we all had so much fun together, I was impressed my how daring they all were, even Spencer, the youngest, went on all the rides and kept right up. One of the best things about being away from home is that you get to spend everyones vacations with them. Its such a great way to get to know your family at a whole different level, and see them interact with each other. They are a great family, I am lucky that they let me hang out with them.
PS. Word of advice, don't put your cell phone in your pocket at Lagoon, Or at least don't go down the hydro tube in a raft and think you wont get your pocket wet. (thanks Jess)

Family Camp Out

My Family went camping at Mt. Charleston this weekend. I had a great time the first few hours till it starting raining and soaked our tent. Jordan didn't nap so after the first few hours he became demon child. I wimped out and went home at bedtime to sleep. He rest of the family had a wonderful time, but as far as Jordan's first camp out, not so much. We will try again next summer.

Our Little Lake

When Amy and her Kids came up, and Emily stayed the week, we had a blast. Of course I forgot me camera almost every time we went somewhere, but we did bring it on our little picnic at the lake. I didn't think the kids would get in the cold water, so we didn't bring a change of clothes, but it didn't stop them, they had a great time splashing each other and playing in the muddy ground.

After they played in the water I tried to change Jordans Diaper since he was all wet, he took off running as soon as my head was turned. I swear that Boy is to fast. He is my little free spirit

I can't help it, I love this picture, he has the the cutest butt (sorry mom) in the world.

Beaver

I went and visited my friend of like 15 years Vicki-Nicki, Vicki-Nicki, Vicki-Nicki, in Beaver this week. She was there on Vacation, She moved to Tuscan,Tacoma,Tallahassee or somewhere like that. We had a great time just hanging out. I miss that girl, we have always worked together and lived by each other and it makes me sad not to have our nightly drug drop offs anymore, what will the neighbors have to talk about?

They went fishing and brought back a ton of fish, Jordan thought it was so cool to touch a real fish. The kids went on the slip and slide, but Jordan couldnt really figure it out so I gave him a little push

Fathers Day

Joel's fathers day gift from Jordan was a front mounted seat for his bike. They are a lot safer than the old back mounted seats and Joel loves to drive around with Jordan between his arms so he can talk and point out the world to him. He is the best Dad in the world, We are so lucky to have him.

My Little Gym

We put Jordan in a Little Gym class. I is having a blast, but he doesn't really listen to anything the teacher says, or doesn't like to wait his turn, but we are working on it. Actually, his favorite part is the end of class when the teacher blow bubbles on his belly.

Trains

Jordan is totally obsessed with trains right now, so when we found this train graveyard, He got so excited, he let out the biggest squeal I have ever heard and couldnt wait to go explore them. We stayed for so long because he couldnt get enough. He just kept saying, Woah, Cool, and Choo Choo.

4 Wheeler

Jordan got his first 4 wheeler, It goes 5 miles an hour. Which is perfect. The day after he got it, it rained and rained, and he couldn't have been happier playing in the puddles

Tulip Festival

Joel, Jordan and I went to the Tulip Festival today. We had a great time, not all the tulips had bloomed yet because of having such a cold and long winter, but it was 100% more than I had ever seen before so I loved it.

Of course, while I was discovering tulips and shooting photos, Jordan discovered all the joys of rolling down hills. He would run to the top and roll and roll and laugh and laugh.

So of course Joel joined him and they both rolled and rolled. I'm not sure who had more fun. I loved watching both of my boys while they giggled.

Jordan has a friend

Jordan has finally found a friend in Utah, He has been so bored and lonely since we got here, and we met Creed who lives 2 houses down. They are 3 weeks apart, and love all the same things, they play so great together and are even the exact same size, I guess they will both grow up to be 5'6, They have a standing play date once a week, and love to see each other out on the streets and play cars. Now I just have to teach him that we don't open mouth kiss our friends. But, don't worry, he will never forget his homeys in Vegas Tig, Lila and Lauren, but its about time he found a boy to play with.

Conference

My Parents came up for conference this weekend, It was so cool to be at the first conference where President Monson presided. We went to the last session on Sunday, and it was amazing to be in the conference hall and see President Monson, It really confirmed to me that he is suppose to be the new Prophet and it was great to sustain him.

Jordan 1st Dental visit

Jordan had his first visit to the Dentist, he did great. He didn't like being laid back in the chair, but he loved his new toothbrush and toothpaste. While the assistant was cleaning his teeth he kept doing sign language for more toothpaste, it was so cute. He had no cavities, YEA!! They gave him a balloon and a sucker, so he give the dentist a big hug.

Spring Break in the snow

Well who said that spring break is suppose to be spent on a beach somewhere. Actually My sister Robin and John did go to Hawaii and I got to keep her 3 kids and had a totally different spring break than their parents did. We had such a great time together. Robin left them with some money so that we could go and play, and boy did we have a great time spending it. We went to the indoor pool, Hoogle Zoo, Boondocks, Kangaroo Zoo, the Mall, lots of restaurant's, and of course sledding, tubing and building snowmen. It was great to have them up here.

During the week, My sister Jill and her family also came up after they dropped my Nephew Bobby off at the MTC, they spent a few days with us and we had 13 people here, it was great, there were bodies all over the floor at bedtime and everyone had a great time. The boys went tubing off of the big hill next to the church and the younger kids stayed with the hill in my back yard. It was great hanging out, they went to the Movie, went on walks, and of course we ate great. After they left, an hour later Robin and John came back from Hawaii and we ran down and played Miniature golf, Jon Jon couldn't get enough of it after we play one day so there was no way he was leaving Utah without playing one more time. He beat us all so he is pretty proud. Right after they left, Joels Brother Mark and his family came up from Richfield and spent the day, we went out to eat and hung. Then on Easter the next morning, Joels Parents came, they went to church with us and Joels sister Julie and her kids came up for Easter dinner. WOW, thats a lot of people in a weeks time, and they all just left and the house seems so quiet. It's kinda sad, I loved having everyone here. Jordan really loves it, he is such a party animal and loves all the action. Now I have one day to reorganize and head to Vegas for the next week. Who said Life would slow down once I moved? It's great!!

Larry and Melanie's Visit

Larry and Melanie came up to visit a few weeks back and we had a blast. Of course it snowed a lot while they were here, which only seems to happen when I have guest. It's my way of keeping them here longer. We went to the petting zoo, and to the dinosaur museum, the 2 boys had a great time and played so great together. We tried to go sledding but the snow in my backyard was so deep that we mostly just sank and didn't go to far. It is so fun to spend one on one time with the family. I cant remember the last time I had a sleep over with Larry :)

Jordan is 2!!

Jordan turned two on Feb. 28th, I cant believe how fast time goes. We were in Vegas a few days before his birthday so we celebrated at a family dinner. On his B-day it was Mommy and Me day from sun up till sunset. We went to the Kangaroo Zoo, ate all his favorite foods, went to the park, and pretty much just played all day. We had a blast.

The Girls from work took me out before I left for Utah for one last horrah. We went to Dinner and out dancing at the Redrock to Zowie Bowie, and then off to Cherry. We had a blast just like we always do with that group of friends. It was the best night EVER, and makes me miss vegas so much more. Thanks girls, your the best. And Thanks Dr. G. for paying for it all!
